Central Ohio Transit Authority

The Central Ohio Transit Authority in Columbus is joining with community partners to by co-host an advocacy and media event. Participants include Rep. Mike Stinziano, representative from Sen. Sherrod Brown’s office, Ohio Public Transit Association, Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission, Ohio Department of Transportation, DATABus, local chapters of COMTO and WTS, Columbus Chamber of Commerce, and local advocacy and bicycle groups, construction firms, and officials. The event will be held at COTA’s newly constructed Spring Street Transit Terminal in downtown Columbus. This new facility replaces a terminal that was in need of significant upgrades and serves as an example of recent infrastructure investment COTA has made in our community.

METRO Regional Transit Authority is planning a passenger advocacy day in various locations throughout the day April 9.

Hosting a transportation worker and supporter rally, which will be joined by area city, county and port leaders as well ass other stakeholders. Local media will be invited to hear why Toledo-area transportation projects are essential to the region's vitality and success.
