Capital District Transportation Authority

The Capital District Transportation Authority, Albany, NY, will hold a news conference at Crossgates Mall, one of the busiest bus stops in the system and the future home of the proposed Crossgates Transit Center. Speakers include CDTA CEO, Carm Basile, Congressman Paul Tonko, Assemblymember Patricia Fahy, Albany County Executive Daniel McCoy and NY and Federal Policy Coordinator for Tri-State Transportation Campaign Nadine Lemmon. CDTA will highlight local projects such as proposed Crossgates Transit Center and expansion of 40 Miles of BRT along the Washington/Western Corridors (Purple Line) and River Corridor (Blue Line) along the Hudson River (Routes 32 and 4).


BAE Systems

BAE Systems, in conjunction with Broome County Transit in Binghamton, NY, will hold a Stand Up 4 Transportation event April 7. U.S. Rep. Richard Hanna (R-NY) and Broome County Executive Debbie Preston will tour the BAE facility and attend a presentation regarding the importance of public transit to communities and the need for federal funding.
